Lakewood Pride Circles Lakewood Elementary
What was the purpose of this project?
Lakewood Pride Circles is designed to create a safe and caring school climate when students work together in groups ranging from K-5 once a month to discuss the virtues.
Did the project fulfill that purpose? If so, how?
By having our grant fully funded, Lakewood was able to purchase materials that are designed to help facilitate our topics of discussion.

When the students have quality materials at their disposal, quality learning can take place.
Do you feel this project should be replicated in other schools throughout the district? Please explain.
Yes. Pride Circles is a special activity at Lakewood. Students learn how to work together and display talents while surrounded by students of different ages. They form cross-grade level relationships that are long-lasting.
