The Blue Valley Educational Foundation announced the appointment of two new board members beginning their terms on July 1.

Monty Spradling joins the board from UMB and will serve on the fund development committee. Dr. Jennifer Schultz joins the board from Shawnee Mission Medical Center and will serve on the grant committee.

            Tom Mitchell will serve as president from January 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 and Tammy Edwards will serve as president-elect. Todd Louis will serve as the treasurer and Dr. Al Hanna will serve as secretary for BVEF beginning July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.

            At the June board meeting Brad and Vinda Wagner and their family were recognized as the Volunteers of the Year for BVEF for 2007-08.
