The Blue Valley Educational Foundation gave special thanks to its donors at the October Board of Education meeting. New donors who have contributed $2,000 or more to the Foundation since its inception 18 years ago were added to the organization's "Wall of Honor."

            The wall now reflects the cumulative donations of more than $20,000 for Sprint. Added to the wall at the $10,000 - $19,999 level were: All Point Transportation, Inc., Ash Grove Charitable Foundation, In Memory of Leslie Elizabeth Noble, Kenneth Selzer and Deborah Grimes, and Target Stores.

            Added to the wall at the $5,000-$9,999 level were: Blue Valley Northwest Parent Booster Club, City of Overland Park, Dean Development, Inc., Douglas and Caryn Firebaugh, Firebaugh Construction, Inc., Johnson County Community College Foundation, Larson Binkley, Inc., Major Saver, J.P. Morgan Chase Foundation, Nevius Serig Palmer Architecture, Nick & Jake's, Stilwell Elementary PTO, Structural Engineering Associates and Walmart

            Recognition also went to the following new donors at the $2,000-$4,999 level: The Alpert Companies, American Academy of Family Physicians, APAC - Kansas, Blue Valley West PTO, Patrick and Patricia Colloton, Mark and Jimmie Cosby, Crossland Construction, Inc., Harmony Middle PTA, HMN Architects, Inc., Hollis + Miller Architects, Lakewood Middle PTO, Mission Trail Elementary PTO, In Memory of Martin Nearenberg, Nueterra Healthcare, Tim and Sherry Obringer, Felix and Abiye Okah, Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, Shirley Pinnick, The PrivateBank, Clinton and Britton Robinson, Stanley Elementary PTO, SureWest and Dick and Mary Linna Woods.

            Charter members of the Silver Society were recognized in a special presentation. These donors have contributed $25,000 to the BVEF endowment. A $1,000 scholarship in their design and name has been developed in perpetuity. Silver Society members include: Dixon Family Foundation, In Memory of Scott K. Innes, Dave and Megan Leathers, In Memory of Tom Leathers, Regnier Family Foundation and Phil and Toni Sanders.
